At the moment, excepting K-DES®, there isn’t a simple way to preserve the animal’s carcases or their by-products since their origin until they are incinerated, slowing down the decomposition procedure, avoiding the proliferation of flies and insects and reducing the problem of the scents.
The only way is the use of refrigerated chambers, but it supposes important costs of construction, maintenance (to which you must include the technical and human costs and the disinfection costs) and of energy consumption.
Using refrigerated chambers, you don’t eliminate the problem, because unless the transport is also in refrigerated trucks, the problem reappears again for the time that the residues are transported and incinerated, that not always happens immediately when they arrive to the incinerator.
